About Us
The Ancaster Saddle Club is a non profit club that organizes English and Western Schooling Shows and promotes horsemanship in the community in a safe and professional manner. Run by volunteers, the Board of Directors is responsible for managing and organizing the horse competitions. The Board of Directors consists of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Past President, four Directors, and two Advisors that work closely together to manage the business and affairs of the club.
Annual General Meetings take place each year which allows Club members to voice their opinion and offer suggestions for changes and modifications to the club. During this time, the election of the Board of Directors takes place.
Five shows take place one Sunday a month beginning in May and ending in September (weather permitting). The Ancaster Saddle Club offers English Hunter classes and Western Performance Classes. All shows are held at the Ancaster Fairgrounds, located at the corner of Trinity Rd and Hwy 2, Ancaster.
A year end awards banquet is organized each Fall after the completion of all shows to recognize the competitors, coaches, parents, and volunteers.
